This stunning apartment is located in Gótico which is currently the most fashionable neighbourhood of Barcelona and it offers a wide range of leisure and culture. This authentic part of Barcelona is a must see for any visitor to the city. It has numerous small streets, hidden places, shops of all kind, and international ethnic mix of inhabitants and visitors alike, will give you a complete picture of the vibrant past and present of this marvellous city. Thank you for your email. We stayed in unit 43 at Plaça d'Antonio López in mid June 2013. We were looking for an apartment that was well located in Barcelona to enable us to get around on foot. In terms of location, the accommodation could not be better. We were within easy walking distance to the Gothic quarter as well as the Born and Barceloneta districts. The Placa Catalunya area was also perfectly walkable via the Rambla and the amazing Boqueria fresh food market.oración The unit itself was accessed from the main street via a lift. On arrival, we were shown the entrance to the building by the taxi driver that was pre-booked by Amarante. However, it was not obvious how to use the buzzer entry system to get in. We were told to report to level 6 and yet there was no Level 6 button on the front door. Fortunately we were able to gain access when a guest exited the building. This could do with looking at to make entry easy and stress free! Once on level 6 your staff were very helpful and we quickly gained access to our apartment. The apartment itself was wonderfully spacious and the full length windows with balconies provided a great deal of direct sunlight into the apartment and enabled us to connect with the street activity below. Some may complain about traffic noise. However, all the window units are double glazed and ultimately the apartment is located on two very busy main roads. We personally considered that the traffic noise was perfectly bearable and was a small price to pay for the fantastic location of the apartment and the aspects from all of the windows. The style of the apartment was excellent and had a sophisticated city character. Although fine for our visit, I would imagine that you will soon need to keep on top of the maintenance of the more heavily used parts of the apartment such as the bathrooms. Because we were so busy during our 4-day stay, we were not able to make use of the roof top terrace or swimming pool. Your questionnaire in the room asked whether this area would benefit from a drinks bar and waiter service. I think this could be a good addition and we perhaps would have used this between coming back from a day out and going out again for the evening. To conclude, we very much enjoyed our stay with you and we will be adding your apartment of the list of places to consider staying in during future visits to Barcelona.
